Today we just did colouring in the morning and watched a DVD this afternoon.  We watched Shrek 2.  Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!!!!!

Advice Blog?

A few comments have been made on our blog about setting up an advice page where people can post their problems for others to comment and give help and advice on.

Mrs Kerr says she is more than willing to help with this (as long as we give her some technical guidance!).

I think it would be a great idea, but it’s something we need to think very carefully about.

How can we make problems and comments confidential but make sure that you are all safe?

The adults need to know who is commenting to make sure our blog is safe and that no-one makes inappropriate comments.  However, I totally agree that posts need to be confidential to protect those who are having problems.

It’s a tricky one Year 6! 

What do you think about the idea and how do you think we can make this work????

Thursday 20th December

Well I don’t know about you Year 6, but I am absolutely exhausted after our party!!

This morning we had a great Wall of Fame assembly.  Well done Matthew and Tyler (Behaviour), Katy and Megan (Wall of Fame) and all of our fantastic musicians.  I am so envious of your musical talent!

Then after an early break we went in to the hall to watch a DVD while Mrs Majiauk and Mrs Nall made a wonderful job of turning our class into a party palace!

We ate and drank our party goodies then played out some more.

I really enjoyed the games and dancing in the hall.  Well done to Stacey and Tom who won the best dancer competition (shuffling in Tom’s case!).

I think I’m ready for an afternoon nap now!!

Wednesday 19th December

Today we finished our Adventure Quest stories! Everybody split into groups North,East,South and West. All of them sounded great!

After we finished our cards and calendars. Megan got picked for her calendar and Katie got picked for her card for Wall of Fame. They looked brilliant! People for behaviour were Matty and Tyler.

Tomorrow is our Christmas party! Nearly everyone is bringing in food. It will be fun!

Drum roll please!! Here it is…the first chapter!

The Year 6 Adventure Quest Story

In our English lessons we read the story Barrowquest.  We got ideas from this to write our own story. 

First of all we worked together to write the first chapter of our story The Quest Of Tronia.

Then the class were split into four groups,North,East,South,West. Each group planned sections of the story on a map.

Then each group wrote their own version of each of the remaining four chapters.

We took it in turns for each of us to write and share ideas, making sure everyone had contributed to the story.

We have all enjoyed writing the story and we hope you enjoy reading it just as much!
